This should be very simple... laying down the logic not the code...
Mc 3 frames long
1st frame Set BarCode = Default
Second frame has action...
1st. have an MC check the value of the txt field (BarCode)
2nd compare value of BarCode with Default (000000)
3rd if not default then wait to make sure data is fully entered {if not
default, i = i+1, if i = 12(one sec) then ...}
4th send value to database and reset BarCode to Default
Third Frame Goes to Secondframe and plays

hope ya follow that :)
