I've used Wacom for about 10 years because it was always
the "best available" for the graphic designer/artist.
At that price it should be.
I then fell in love with this inexpensive artpad and pen
made by CalComp. Its called the Creation Station and
lists for about 100 bucks. I prefer this setup over my
Wacom tablets anyday.
