If you're considering passing arguments through an URL, please remember
that different browsers have different limits on the size of HTTP_GET
requests... you're generally safe with URLs that are less than 128
characters or so in length, and many browsers support up to about 256
characters.

(Rephrased, you could see problems in some-but-not-all browsers with very
long URLs.)
