Kenneth,

David,

Sorry but this is *not* an adequate response.

Sheesh bub, you sound like yer the tired and cranky infant today who's been
in their highchair too long..

First of all, any response that anyone on this list gives to another is
equivalent to some kind of information transfer.. Which, is what this list
is all about.. Right? So I really don't think you or anyone else is
righteous and almighty enough to judge another's response as being adequate
or correct.. Information.. That's what this is, oh, yeah, and the occasional
flailing in communication which ruts it all up..

Second, Navigator 4.0.8 is old.. It's OLD.. Let me let you in on a little
deductive reasoning tinged with a little mass appeal.. Your statement fails
from the simple fact that Navigator 4.0.8 was initially what Netscape was
shipping as their browser.. Somewhere along the way the introduced
Communicator which was a new product that INCORPORATES Navigator.. New
versions forthcoming and tidy.. Netscape Navigator? Alone out there.. Sure
you can still get it but the FACT (and logically this should be glaringly
obvious to such a smart dude as yourself) is that if it is still being
shipped with the FLASH 3.0 plug-in then Netscape obviously views it as
substandard in the marketing scheme of things, hence OLD and not worth
UPDATING.. in other words, old, not rotting or decomposing yet, but, old....

Your were right about the existence of two products from Netscape though..
Go ahead pat yerself on the back..

We're not talking about *any* plugin; we're talking about Flash 4.

BIG difference.

SO the handwriting on the wall suggests to me that, once again, and
perhaps as a general solution (for the several cases such as this
where MM blames the other guy or some such obvious fluff and we get
stonewalled,) is to learn how to program around the crap. (Thanks
again, F.)

And thanks *anyway*, MM.

Just my two cents,

Ken Sherwood
