One of our developers here uses the RC2 edition of Windows 2000
Professional, Flash 4 is much more stable, faster, and actually works better
on his system than my Win98SE (a particular thing I found was that on his
system, he could assign a LOT (ie: pages) of text to a variable, and still
be able to edit it later... the downside is that my system couldn't edit the
script.

Anyway, one additional comment, although Windows 2000 Server (including
Advanced Server and all the other new breeds) are designed and optimized for
"Server" activities, although you can run "Workstation" applications (like
Flash 4) on it, it's not a good idea, depending on the setup of the machine,
it may just not have the 'grunt' left to run Flash (since I've seen Flash
want upto 500Mb RAM on some of our projects).

Bottom line: Flash 4 runs fine on Windows 2000 Professional, as others have
said also... could be a configuration issue, or a compatability issue with
your hardware (Win2K is much stricter on Hardware, whereas Win98SE will run
on most anything).
