Subject: FLASH: Mac Flash detection: restart required?
From: Laura Hamilton

My dear fellow Flash Addicts,

I am having a problem with two Mac users who have tried to access my Flash 4
portfolio site.

They arrived without the Flash plug-in and were sent to a page telling them
so, with a link to the Flash plug-in download page. (I'm using Colin Moock's
Flash detection script).

Both users clicked the link, downloaded Flash, then returned to my site,
only to be redirected again again and again to the page telling them they
didn't have Flash.

I believe that somebody here mentioned that Macs need to be restarted after
downloading the Flash plug-in, otherwise the plug-in will not recognized. Is
that right? Is that the source of the above problem? Is there a better way
to solve this issue?
