Well, the problem with any shape tweening is you have to assign a 

particular point to a particular point.  That is, let's say you assign 

Shape Hint A to the top left corner of the person's face.  You want this 

point to become the top left corner of the letter "D".  So you assign the 

complimentary Shape Hint A to that position on the letter 

D.  Unfortunately, you also probably have a whole lot of other stuff in the 

upper left-hand corner of the photo.  What's going to happen to all that 

stuff?  It will have to be factored in by Flash and this could get 

hairy.  Chances are you'll come up with an unexpected effect and it will be 

hard to control the end result.  There's also a size differential that must 

be dealt with.


I've done something similar using a morph program and it can be difficult 

working from a bitmap to text.  I might suggest that you pull your image 

into a photoshop-type program, crop it to the image you want to use then 

place this bitmap on a solid background in Flash.  This might make it 

easier to get point A to match up with point A.


As I said, I don't know if this will work in Flash or not.
