Subject: FLASH: text field activation
From: Scott Hilburn
Date: Thu, 11 Jan 2001 11:31:05 GMT

I am currently working on a project that simulates a piece of
Equipment. This equipment requires user input.
To simulate this, I am creating a text field.
Normally a text field must be clicked, in order for
It to be activated (or editable). However, my client wants the
Text field to simulate the equipment EXACTLY- in that the
Text field should be active without having to click inside of
It first.

Is there a way to make the mouse inactive while also making the
Text field active and independent of the mouse-click?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott
