You need to create an invisible button. Try this (instructions kindly
given to me for a Flash 4 project). I later found this in the Flash 4
Bible as well.
"You need to invent a button in the form of a movie clip. Make it 3 frames
and have graphics (not buttons) in each frame with a stop action in each
frame as well. Then create a new layer in this mc and make an invisible
button (put a graphic in the hit state only) Then on this button put your
actions;
On (Press)
Go to and Stop ("labelname")
End On
On (Release)
Go to and Stop("anotherlabelname")
End On
You can use a frame action to reset the appearance of the button if the
user comes back from another scene."
