Subject: FLASH: Strangeness F4>F5 (alegedly) & another with Flash4 in D8 with Touchscreen

Hi

I am currently producing a site using Flash4&5. It started life in v4 but
my client who is producing a bit of the content upgraded during the project
and so I had to follow suit in order to use his stuff. My movie seemed to
open fine but then I realised that some of the buttons (which are actually
tween instances with an onMouseDown action on them) stopped working. They
work on all pages (I have copied and pasted them into different scenes) bar
one. There is nothing particularly unique about this page/ scene except it
does contain a mc for a sliding menu bar system which i am quite pleased
with, which relies on a onEnterFrame statement to judge the mouse position
via a mouse tracker movie and adjust the menuposition accordingly. However
I've removed the onEnterFrame bit and it still don't work - although not the
mouse tracker mc as yet. Any ideas please - I'm baffled?

And another thing... :-)

I also recently produced a movie in Director v8 in which I embedded a Flash
movie (which acts as a waiting screen until the main movie starts) which
passes a command to the Director movie onMouseDown to jump to the next
scene. We solved a bug which caused crashing as the Flash player
(ocaisionally) closed between D8 movies BUT now the flash buttons have
"developed" a problem whereby they have to be double instead of single
clicked in order to get to the main D8 movie. They don't require this if
you use an ordinary mouse and the rest of the buttons in the D8 movies are
fine it's just with the flash bit on the touchscreen. Good one eh?

Thanks in advance - flashers you're the best !-)
