O.K., well here goes.....

I have been using FLASH for just about anything BUT web applications here
lately.
Examples:

1. A fullscreen interface, for a flat panel touchscreen "Tenant Directory"
for our 8 floor office building.

2. A "Compositing" type application, in which I did After Effects-like work
within FLASH, rendered out a Quicktime, MPEG'd it down to a Video CD, to
play on an old Phillips Video CD player through a monitor in our lobby.
(This is for a "welcome" animation that plays on a loop, to welcome guests
for various events in our digital theatre.) Basically, I just change out the
symbol of the guest's company name, and the special effects still work like
a charm.)

3. Basically, a FLASH version of PowerPoint, for our sales team. A literal
"Slideshow", with much more interactivity, and motion. (It would be nice to
be able to print individual frames like you can with PowerPoint slides, to
allow meeting attendees to take notes on particular slides.)

4. I am also looking into the feasibility a FLASH projector, as a
"Front-End" to a self promotional CD-Rom I am working on.

FLASH ROCKS!!!
