Subject: FLASH: using variables (for a non-programmer)
From: Danielle Roberts

Hello list,

I'm working on a project where I use two modes to access pictures.
The fist is interactive and uses tell target to go to the picture your
cursor is over. This is no problem.
The second is a slide show mode. I want to use the same movie clip as I use
for the interactive mode. For that purpos I've set a variable ("hier") in
every keyframe that has a new picture in it. I use a play button to start
the slide show. The button should get the number from the "hier" variable
and start playing from that point. I've tried the following code:

On (Release)
Go to and Play (Eval (hier))
Trace (hier)
End On

It does return the correct number but starts playing at the wrong keyframe.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks a lot,

Danielle.
