FLASH: Urgent Help! Convert to Symbol

Hi all,


I have a deadline, and I could use a hand here. I have a pie chart graphic that

was created in Illustrator. I didn't draw the graphics, and I need to make an

interactive menu out of it in Flash. I'm not *real* good at Flash, but what they

want, I think I can do--basically, it's just making the sections of the pie

bigger on mouseover and stuff.


Anyway, I need to make part of the graphic a button, and when i try to convert

part of the drawing to a symbol, the graphic messes up. You can see what it is

As you can see, part of the shadow/black part is coming forward. I've tried

breaking apart, messing with the arrangement, and I keep getting this. Any ideas

what the heck I am doing wrong? I am exporting the layers in Illustrator as SWF

files.
