We've all heard that everything we say or do has been said or done before.
In fact, when it comes to pushing originality I believe that good design
should always precede originality, but a good design takes into account
(especially in something like a website) an identity. If the design fails
to serve the identity, then however well designed the information is, its
interest isn't served.

Different people have different ideas on what software like Flash has to
offer. I personally believe that if you use it as a standalone tool, you're
selling it short. Spinning ovals are indicative of the limitations of Flash
(and not vector graphics.) I have no idea what other constraints he was
working under, but these ovals earmark Flash the same way overused gradients
earmark illustrator, and poorly used drop shadows and semi-transparent text
earmarks photoshop.

I'm sure this site wasn't targeting design professionals, so he should take
my criticism as criticism. Just my own unsolicited, caustic design opinion.
