You could export in Flash SWF format...

They did they just didn't do it your way.

Be sure to get the free Freehand 8.01 update as it has improvements for

the SWF export.

The latest versions of Freehand and Illustrator came out after Flash 4

and Flash can not support the changes made to the formats. Also, even

with old versions of these formats, Flash (nor any program is fully

compatible with all the variations of these formats that each program

creates (many of which might normally have no value to Flash).
