Subject: UKNM: Re: Emticons (sort of) - OFF TOPIC request
From: Lois Grayson
Date: Wed, 2 Aug 2000 17:56:49 +0100

I got into a somewhat embarrassing situation once through not knowing my
emoticons - a well placed ;-) would have reduced the ambiguity considerably

The result was a funny story which subsequently has led to a commission from
a content editor to write 1000 words for their lead feature on site launch
in Sept....... about flirting on-line.

Good I may be but I'm no expert. So please help, I need your anecdotes about
this subject. Anyone out there got any droll tales or tips for first timers?

Mail off list if you wish to save your blushes! :-)

Many thanks

Lois

(And Tim if you really think *<:-))))))><<<<<<<<> is a grinning guy with
multiple chins in a bobble hat with a
REALLY ugly tie, then I'd hate to see the results of your Rorschach tests)
