I know this is not very professional but that's plain crap. Anyone buying a
good generic name would either do it to use it or, in the case of the
"carpetbaggers" (the words cyber and interactive should be banned form the
new media lexicon for at least a year because of over use) pump up the price
with no reason other than making a quick buck. I liken this to someone
charging folks to drink from an oasis. The company has taken a public
resource and having added no value whatsoever is selling it on. There isn't
even a case for distribution in this case. Even ticket touts serve a purpose
(if buying up spare tickets). I personally would like to see more of that
kind of service with sensible pricing. I would like to see the naming
authorities running this much like the DVLA. That way if I no longer wanted
a domain name I could offer it up in a standard way or swap it for a new
one.

If a name was bought, used but is no longer needed then I see no problems
with the name being resold. I'm not proposing they don't gain from having
used it. I do think it should be organised to allow for a open market of
domain names. I also feel that there needs to be greater regulations
regarding domain names as they are important to the success of eBuisness
around the worlds as long as the web-via-computer is popular.

So in short these domain name people ad no value - provide no service but
are parasites.
