From my experience with Boots I'd say they're just too into toe
dipping to really get anywhere in this space.

Interactive TV, brand portal jv portal, ecommerce, content provider,
+ separate sites for all the other businesses like Boots opticians
and Boots mens. All of this done pretty half heartedly - much money
splashed around but not enough commitment to really get anything off
the ground.

They also had this weird point of view where they wouldn't discount
anything on-line for fear of cannibalising their offline offering!
