Subject: RE: UKNM: stats for TV viewers who are also online

This is from US research, but is interesting nonetheless, perhaps for Euro
2000...

NPD Online Research figures from the Super Bowl, earlier this year, showed
that 12% of the TV audience visited a site advertised during the ad breaks,
of which 58% went on to make a purchase. Both the FedEx and WebMD (which
featured Mohammed Ali) ads achieved a 65% recall, while the report also
revealed that 22% of viewers were also online while watching the Super Bowl.

Subject: UKNM: stats for TV viewers who are also online

Obviously? most people who are online also have a TV set - some reports also
suggest that users who use the internet a lot watch less telly? - but does
anyone know any stats for spikes from urls broadcast at the end of
programmes, or any other interesting stuff like what perecentage of a TV
audience does an associate web site get?

Any help/pointers greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Tamsen
