Please be careful here, and check into the actual functionality. From what
I see of screenshots you can now add shapes (made somewhere else?) to go
out to a printer, but there doesn't seem to be the actual editing of shapes
as you'd see in Macromedia Flash or Fireworks or such.

There's a great effort being made now to co-opt buzzwords and spread
uncertainty... please make sure you don't get bit by the hype, thanks.

For Cheri's original post, a lot depends on what you want to do. If someone
has a nice pixel-based image that you'd like to use, then it can be brought
into Macromedia Flash. You'll need to be careful about compression, and
filesize, and whether it's resized by even a single pixel.

If you can, it would usually be better to deal with vectors. These resize
and animate easily. You can add texture to vector shapes by pixel-based
fills: small tiles which download quickly but which can fill a large shape.

Still, you can import pixel-based art in a variety of formats. If you're
imported compressed JPG, then set the Library item's Bitmap Properties to
"Use imported JPEG data" to avoid recompression.
