has anyone else ever noticed that when you have a flash element on a html
page (vs the whole screen being a flash movie), that the flash element seems
"unstable", sort of flickering when the screen is refreshed or the browser
window is moved. The other issue I have found is that the Flash element
takes a relatively long time to be rendered by the browser.
for example:
a 15k .gif takes 2/10 of a second to be rendered.
the same file turned into a flash element is only 1k, but still takes 3/10
of a second to render.
Is this all just because Flash in not a native component to the browser, or
is there a way to remedy this?
I am working on IE4 Win/NT.
any insights would be greatly appreciated.
