Subject: FLASH: Drawing/Mask/Tweening/etc..........
From: Brian V Bonini

I noticed earlier today someone was asking about
creating the illusion of drawing on screen.
One of the replies suggested using a mask to accomplish this.
It caught my attention so I tried it.
The only way I could figure out how to do this was to create a Mask
layer
and reveal the image (text in this case) using the brush tool to create
the
mask, in a "frame by frame sequence".
This works out fine except there seems to be a lot of over head.
The entire clip is only 65 frames but it's about 140k.
Question is.................
To anyone who has experimented with this, does this seem correct as
far as the size is concerned?
Also I noticed tweening was mentioned to accomplish this same thing.
Even using "shape hints" I could not get the mask to shape tween
accurately
enough to accomplish this, am I missing something?

Thanks,
