FLASH: Preloaders and MC's

Dear all,


I seem to be getting more than my money's worth from this list lately, so at

the risk of becoming extremely unpopular (even more so!), here's another one

for you.


Say my movie consists of 10 layers, each containing a single Movie Clip. Now

I'm going to need a preloader for this. But how's that going to work when

there's only one frame on each layer? I can't do 'If Frame is Loaded' can I?

Do I place all my MC's on the same layer and give them labels that can be

targeted from the preloader? I don't want the entire movie to load before it

starts, just the bits that I know people will go to first.


Any advice, as always is a life saver.
