Most likely you have the Static or Animated GIF box checked. The
selected gif created in AfterShock is blank and probably set to frame 1.
This could be selected as a single frame or animated though if you try
to run this animated at the size specified it may not work well. The GIF
specs are set under the Alternate Image section in Aftershock.

This may not be how you want to setup Aftershock. See below. I don't
normally use Aftershock but I have tryed to condense the major options
available here. You may also want to consider using my AllFlash system
which will be publicly released this or next week.

For Flash 3 - Aftershock (and any other detection scheme that relies
solely on Scripting) has two main variables each with two main options
both reside in the Scripting section.
-------------------------------------------------------------
A] Installation

1) Installation: ActiveX Control on Internet Explorer Checked
If checked then MSIE Win 95/98/NT automatically will install the ActiveX
component if the browser does not have the Flash ActiveX control
installed.

2) Installation: ActiveX Control on Internet Explorer UnChecked
(Shockwave Plugin/ActiveX control box in Media Types must also be
checked).
If unchecked then Flash will supply Flash to detectable MSIE Win 95/NT
browsers.
This includes all Script enabled MSIE 4 browsers and only MSIE 3
browsers that have VBScript 2.0 or later. The AfterShock script may need
to be manually modified to include Windows 98 as per MM note 13342.

This is the same change as Jan mentioned in a post today.

-------------------------------------------------------------
B] Media Types:

1) Only Shockwave Plugin/ActiveX control box checked.
This provides Flash for all Flash enabled browsers.
Undetectable browsers will get the NoPlugin Icon if the Plugin/ActiveX
control is not installed.
Flash capable but Undetectable Browsers:
Netscape 2
AOL 3 IWENG version
MSIE Mac
MSIE Win 3.1
Opera
MSIE 3 Win 95/NT with VBScript 1
(MSIE 3 Win 95/NT will automatically get Active X Control if
"Installation: ActiveX Control on Internet Explorer" is Checked as
above).

2) Both "Shockwave Plugin/ActiveX control" and "Static or Animated GIF"
boxes checked.
This provides Flash for all browsers where Flash can be detected
(JavaScript must be enabled). It will provide a GIF alternative to
undetectable browsers regardless of whether or not it has the Flash
plugin. ActiveX MSIE 3 Win 95/NT with VBScript 1 will get Flash only if
the "Installation: ActiveX Control on Internet Explorer" box is checked.
For MSIE Windows 98 if the "Installation: ActiveX Control on Internet
Explorer" box is unchecked then it will get GIF content unless the
manual modification is made (as above). Other ActiveX capable browsers
will get Flash if the "Installation: ActiveX Control on Internet
Explorer" box is checked or if unchecked and Scripts are enabled.

The Java alternate content is only available for content created with
Flash 2.
