RE: FLASH: GRRR smartclip problem

hiya t!


i have wrestled with this menu/combo box beastie and got it working --

although i still can't get it to scroll correctly -- maybe allen e. will

soon post the promised tutorial...


anyway, lemme make sure i understand what you've done. you've dragged the

default smart clip puppy into your movie from the combined library and now

have your own little individual instance. and you've customized it by adding

your own entries to appear as menu/combo box items? is this correct? but

although you've entered them all in, your items don't display? all you see

are the flash default items?


if this is your problem, i have the solution -- you've entered your items in

the *wrong* clip parameters panel. yup -- there are two dialogs with that

name, but they do different things.


otoh, if you saying that you have customized the *code* of the default smart

clip so that it works differently -- or you've tied it to your own GUI --

well, then, t, i gotta pass on that...i haven't been able to get that

working for myself yet; branden hall on the flashcoders list may be your man

here...<g>


don't hesitate to tell me i'm in left field -- where all the original

thinking gets done...<g>
