To me they appear to be ideal. Surely part of the problem with any online
store is there is no reason to go there unless you think you need to buy
something. Adding a reason to repeatedly visit a site, any site means you
not only get the 'I want to buy's but you get the browsers and those who
didnt realise they want to buy.

It makes more sense to link content with shopping to me than to have a
stand alone store. Being digital you can put you store anywhere and in any
shape with a unique layout for each customer (complicated by very possible).
