The only one which is usually spoken of as successful is Wall Street
Journal - although that is more B2suits than truly B2C.

A couple of others (including New York Times, Slate and thestreet.com) were
once spoken of in these terms, but the bus. model just did not hold up over
time.

I know its not exactly a fashionable combination at the moment but does
anyone know of a successful B2C subscription site? We have been asked to
undertake a feasibility study on behalf of a client who wants to sell some
of its (genuinely interesting and valuable) content on a subscription basis.
