I did not at any stage say that Tesco was perfect - but if you could perhaps

suggest which of its rivals was actually further ahead then maybe we could

get to the core of this discussion.... and at some stage discuss actual

new-media/marketing issues.


Like the fact that at least two competitors are loudly braying that they are

somehow superior because 'only' they have retained/initiated phone/fax

shopping (outdated concepts, one of which was recently trimmed by Tesco).

Forget sloths on Quaalude - let's talk about the flogging of dead horses!


Perhaps we could discuss that while all this is going on, they are

desperately rushing to introduce a service to rival Tesco Direct - so fast

that they are suffering more failures than successes.


On a lighter note, perhaps we could ask why Asda even had the audacity to

include an @ symbol as part of their catalogue branding - months before they

even had an online shopping presence!
