Two ways you can do this one is tweening and the other is maskng. You
can use the mask function or just place a graphic that matches the
background and uncover a predrawn line.

This would normally be accomplished with Movie Clips that are not inside
the button byt rather only controlled by Button Tell Target actions. You
may want to make some or all of the actual button invisible.
