I know where I work... the way we handle it is always in the contracts. 9
times out of ten though it works like this.... If the client is going to be
paying cash for the creation of the site, he is also paying for all the
creation source, just like if I needed to purchace stockart for his project,
the stockart would be charged to him and he would get a copy. Now if the
client is a trade transaction, like we do with radio stations for
advertising time, then we maintain ownership of the source work.
