Was it just a coincidence that you launched a non-flash version for the
hoi-polloi at the same time as your super fluffy fabby-dabby sale had
finished? ;-)

First things first, many of the new users will not opt-out because of poor
download times, they will just choose site that don't have that problem.

To make sure that they don't opt out of your site, most of the easy fixes
are quite obvious - tell them who you are and what you stand for as early as
possible and make sure that you don't make ANY links only graphically based.
ie. if a button is for home call it..... 'home'. Even if you think that the
icons that you have produced are obvious, you are not thinking like your
customer.

Whatever you are selling (and, let's face it - we'll all selling something!)
make it clear.

Oh - and avoid jargon at all costs. Even the word ISP confuses 80% of the
world's population.
