Alice,

Household Appliances Direct are a member of the Which? Web Trader scheme.
Have you raised your complaint with them? At the end of last year I found
Which? to be no help whatsoever in terms of helping me through a problem
with Simply Computers - but your case is more serious than mine and they
might well get of their arses and do something.
